IRCC resumes Citizenship Tests

The Canadian immigration department resumed its citizenship tests that were paused more than 8 months ago due to the COVID pandemic. The test will have safeguards to assure proper identification of those taking the tests online.

The Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) launched the new virtual platform for the citizenship tests and is offered online to a small group of roughly 5,000 people who had dates scheduled before the pandemic that was subsequently canceled, and other priority cases.

The platform will be available for a larger group of people after the current invited people are tested over the next few months. For more information visit – https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/citizenship-tests-immigration-pandemic-covid19-1.5815945
