Assalamu Alaikum Brothers and Sisters,
As Kerala has once again been struck with incessant rains, localized floods and landslides have caused deaths and damages to many communities.
Though our state has not been affected as widespread as it did in 2018 and 2019 floods, this year’s flood has caused severe damages in many communities especially in Kottayam and Idukki districts. We have received a particular request from Koottickal Muslim Jama’at, where 40 houses are completely destroyed, and 150 houses are partially damaged. Muslim families are stranded in temporary shelter provided by Jama’at. The committee has reached out to various organizations including NANMMA to rehabilitate these families. NANMMA representatives has met Muslim Jama’at last week and shortlisted approximately 10 families that we can support based on the fund collected.
During this grim situation, we humbly request you to join us in helping them rebuild their homes and communities by donating to NANMMA.
